Car Accident

Just as I was thinking about buying a new car, I got into a wreck with my parent’s minivan. I wasn’t at fault at all–some old guy didn’t pay attention to his red light and ran right into my front headlight. I was probably really lucky–a couple of feet more and he would have smashed straight into my driver’s side door. That’s not very reassuring.

The car search is being postponed for a little while. I’ll get back into the saddle eventually, and might still buy that convertible. For now, I’m feeling a little less safe every time I’m on the road. It’s scary realizing that you can be doing everything right, just driving, going through green lights at the speed limit, and you can still get blindsided for no reason. So I’ve been thinking about safety features, and winter driving, and gas mileage, which is pointing me more towards a Honda…but we’ll see.
